ABOUT
Genwest started in October of 2002 as a steel plate stockist and service centre, specialising in abrasion resistant steels. Due to the diverse customer base, we have expanded our service centre and operation to include a comprehensive plate stock holding, as well as our service to include oxy fuel, hi-definition plasma and laser cutting. We further invested in plate rolling and bending to offer a complete steel supply solution to our customers.
Through the influence and requirements of the petro-chemical industry, an abrasive blasting and coating business was established in Cape Town and remains one of the most prominent abrasive blasting and coating companies in the Western Cape.
The need for the addition of a draughting and detailing service was identified,and implemented and has since developed into a separate business unit. This unit not only offers draughting and detailing but mechanical and structural design, as well as turnkey project management.
Our complete scope of supply is included in our ISO 9001 accreditation.
The drive to diversify in order to produce and supply service with excellence has served this organisation well. We constantly strive to add value to our customers through reliable service and innovative solutions.
