Genwest Steel is divided into four service divisions:
PROFILE CUTTING
CNC OXY FUEL CUTTING
Thickness range 10mm to 300mm thick Cutting tolerances are accurate with excellent cut surface quality.
CNC HIGH DEFINITION PLASMA CUTTING
Accurate high speed cutting in a thickness range from 1mm to 40mm with excellent cutting tolerances and surface quality.
CNC LASER CUTTING
Produces high precision cut parts to exact tolerances with holes and cut out shapes that would otherwise require further machining.
PLATE CUTTING & BENDING
The service center boasts a 400-ton hydraulic bend press with a maximum 4m bed.
There is also an exact tolerance machine used mainly in conjunction with the laser cut machine to produce high quality laser cut and bent parts.
STEEL ROLLING
We can roll plates up to 40mm thick and 3m wide. Cylinders and cones can be fully prepped and welded to specification.
Steel sections can also be rolled including:
- Equal angle
- Unequal angle
- Channel
- Square and Round tubing
- Schedule piping up to 100 NB SCH 80
MACHINING OF ABRASION RESISTANT PLATE
To further enhance the range of value adding services to our extensive range of AR plate, we also offer machining service of this plates of which the drilling and counter-sinking/counter boring of holes in liner plates, grizzly bars etc. is the most common.
